How much Nigerian food to order for 50, 100 or 200 guests

As a rule of thumb, plan one and a half plates per adult guest at an evening event and one plate at a daytime event. Nigerian parties run long, so guests usually return for a second, smaller serving.
For 50 guests we normally suggest two large trays of rice, one tray of a second starch such as fried rice or native rice, two proteins, a soup with swallow and one small chops platter.
For 100 guests, double the rice and proteins but keep one soup option unless the crowd is mixed. For 200, add a dedicated small chops and drinks station so the main line keeps moving.
Not sure? Send us the guest count and event type through the catering form and we will build a spread and quote for you.
